Most of the primary schools around Fisherman's Rest are poorly equipped. The fisrt priority is given to the provision of buildings and classrooms where the sudents can be taught in an enviromment protected from the rains, direct sunlight, dust storms and strong winds. Many classes are still held outside, under trees or in makeshift structures, offering inadequate protection from the elements. Under these circumstances children are often sent home and classes are cancelled under many circumstances.

We embark on a number of initiatives, improving facillities and resources where we can. We can do this by partnering with schools willing to embark upon projects.

Visiting schools looking for expeditions and projects are invited to join our develpment programs. We make the introductions and support the programs from initiation to completion. School expeditions are assisted, guided and supported through all the procedures and requirements while themselves planning, coordinating and undertaking the expedition with specific projects and tasks.
