The Lorry, a cargo of love headed to Malawi from Wales, arriving at Fisherman's Rest has been an exciting journey of adventures and blessings.
From Dar es Sallaam it traveled down through Tanzania into Malawi, encountering the usual African experiences of long border passes, thunderstorms, attempted hijackings and disintegrated roads.
'The border crossing was quite uneventful except having to spend the night there in a flea ridden rest house. Just as well as the following day we were forced to make a slight detour around stranded vehicles, and we would have been stuck by them. By the time we arrived enough small vehicles had got by and created sufficient compact ground for us to attempt the same. My right leg would not keep still on the clutch but we got by. Food was not offered in prime cuts but was most welcome and less than a dollar a meal. The lorry went like a dream, the scenery was spectacular and Douglas the co-driver was brilliant. The sleeper on the lorry very comfortable when tired but testing when hit by a thunderstorm with Douglas shouting he can’t see anything, the windshield misted up, me waking up (fast) and Douglas trying to stop in a river (was a road 30 seconds earlier).' - Wiktor Chichlowski

On arrival at Fisherman's Rest the unloading began! A team of people from wales came to Malawi to oversee and help with the distribution of the Lorry's load! So here is where it went...
